|Brief Encounter given extended stay
West London hotel visitors can now see the play at the Cinema Haymarket until October 19th, according to the London Theatre Guide.
The production switches between theatre and film using a combination of Coward's play and the screenplay of Brief Encounter and takes the audience back to a bygone era of romance.
It follows three couples and their lives and loves, which are played out in the famous station tearoom seen in the film.
The cast currently includes Tristan Sturrock as Alec, Naomi Frederick as Laura, Amanda Lawrence as Beryl and others.
Brief Encounter opened at the Cinema Haymarket, near Piccadilly Circus tube station, on February 17th this year to generally positive reviews, with the Evening Standard calling it a "valuable theatrical encounter".
