|Alex takes to the stage at Leicester Square Theatre
Due to run from November 25th to December 20th, Alex follows its obnoxious title character as he attempts to juggle his job, his marriage and his social life as all three threaten to unravel around him.
The character of Alex first appeared in the comic strips of the London Daily News in 1987 as a way of representing the lives of modern, wealthy professionals.
When the newspaper ceased publishing, Alex moved to the Independent before being snapped up by the Daily Telegraph in 1992, where his strip has appeared ever since.
Using digital projection, the Leicester Square Theatre show allows Robert Bathurst to fill the role of Alex and seem as if he is interacting with the animated representations of the character's world, which are created by Charles Peattie.
Bathurst is best known for playing David in the television show Cold Feet but has also appeared on stage in shows including Three Sisters and Whipping It Up.
