|Singapore hosts Worldwide Festival
The annual event will take place between May 7th and 10th and promises an "explosive weekend" of music, live acts and DJs performing all around the city.
After being voted Singapore's Best Outdoor Event in 2008, the four-day festival has signed Dubwise, Lil Monsta and Bloco Singapura to play at this year's extravaganza, to name a few of the artists on the bill.
Event organisers advised those planning to attend: "Prepare yourself for a mammoth musical feast."
The event aims to unify the Singaporean club and music scenes and also incorporates visual creativity, with a number of events being held in the Singapore Art Museum.
On Friday May 8th the festival will host what is billed as the first club invasion, which will see Singapore's club and music venues affiliate themselves with a "common love for a broad variety of worldwide sounds".
Each participating nightclub will host a specific international sound and dedicate the evening to providing the "right musical environment and overall vibe" to allow festival-goers to appreciate that genre.
