|Singapore River Festival in June
Between June 19th and 27th the second Singapore River Festival will take place from 19:00 local time until the small hours of the morning at the city's waterfront bars.
Boat Quay, Empress Place, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay will each host a selection of events for holidaymakers during the week-long festival.
VisitSingapore says: "The whole river will come alive with free events and activities. Revellers will be spoilt for choice with nightly activities."
Events will include a bumboat parade, which pays homage to the people of the river, while a musical festival will celebrate Singapore's heritage in this area.
There will be aerial performances, a Mojito festival, in honour of the cocktail, and an attempt of record breaking with a dance marathon.
Furthermore, many restaurants lay on special menus for the event, giving holidaymakers something different to try.
