Some of the best and brightest in the telecoms industry will be heading to Singapore at the end of this month for Next Generation Telecom 2008.

This is a summit where the interests of telecoms service providers and vendors with customer drivers and demands can be integrated.

A number of countries in the Asia-Pacific region are embarking in different directions of next-generation telecom networks, and the aim of this summit is to map out the general broadband landscape of the area and establish the best practices in nationwide broadband rollout strategies and implementation.

Wireless broadband connectivity and solutions will be another focal point of the summit, with attempts to help operators identify growth opportunities via effective deployment of mobile and wireless technologies.

Next Generation Telecom 2008 takes place in the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore from August 27th to August 29th, with each day lasting from 09:00 until 17:00, meaning there is plenty of time to get there from a Singapore hotel.
