|New flight launched to Singapore
In a move that may help Australian tourists reach a Singapore hotel, the airline will begin the new flight route on September 29th and has revealed it will be served by an Airbus A380.
Huang Cheng Eng, executive vice-president of Marketing for the airline, said: "We are excited to fly the A380 to Melbourne.
"As the greenest widebody aircraft in the sky, the 471-seat A380 will increase the seat capacity to Melbourne by ten per cent, without the need for additional frequencies."
Earlier this year, Singapore was voted the best city in the Asia Pacific region for sight-seeing and received an accolade for its official tourism website.
Mr Ken Low, assistant chief executive at the Singapore Tourism Board, said the body was "very honoured" to receive the Seoul Tourism Awards accolades.
