|Music fans head to Singapore International Guitar Festival
In December, those checked into a Singapore hotel will be able to enjoy a series of evening concerts performed by guitarists from all around the world at a range of venues, including the Cairnhill Community Club and DBS Auditorium.
Budding guitarists will be able to take part in master classes and attend a range of seminars, which will discuss a number of musical issues relating to the instrument.
In 2008, performers included Paulo Bellnati and Cristina Azuma from Brazil, Jeremy Jouve from France and Uros Dojcinovic from Serbia.
Since being formed in 1995, the festival has gained an international reputation and showcases a range of musical genres from flamenco to folk and classical guitar.
A number of performances during the festival are free, making it an inexpensive passtime for those booked into a Singapore hotel during December.
