|Fashion Festival shows Singapore some style
Between May 6th and 10th the event will take place at the Ngee Ann City and buck the fashion show trend by making the catwalks available to the general public and holidaymakers.
Tourists staying at a Singapore hotel will be able to see the models don designers' creations from the side of the runway and sip cocktails as they take in next season's fashionable creations.
French fashion house Chistian Lacroix is kick-starting the event with an haute coutre show, which members of the public can buy tickets to attend.
Other top designers showcasing their work at the event include Ashley Isham, Gareth Pugh, Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood.
Supermodels Charmaine Harn and Jacquetta Wheeler, whose face has been compared to a Roman vase, will lead the modelling pack at the event.
