|Enjoy the Singapore Art Show
Between now and October 4th the Singapore Art Show will take place at various venues around the city, giving artists a platform to present their work.
The biannual event aims to make private collections and works owned by local groups available to locals, in a bid to inspire those visiting the show and act as a catalyst for creativity.
Event organisers say: "Singapore Art Show 2009 brings you an exciting smorgasbord of art offerings designed to invite, entice and trigger responses to the idea of art."
This year more than 474 artworks have vied for one of the 45 places in the festival and two prizes will be awarded to the most outstanding entries at the end of the season. The categories entries can win an accolade in are the Singapore Art Exhibition Prize, and the Voters Prize.
