|Dead Sea artifacts premiere in Asia
The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Ancient World will be at the Arts House at the Old Parliament between August 27th and September 20th and will mark the first time some of the fragments have been displayed in Asia.
VisitSingapore says: "Experience an exhibition of over 100 artifacts spanning 5,000 years of human civilisation.
"It .??? looks at the origins of the written language and how it evolved-on ancient clay tablets, parchment, and papyrus."
The exhibition also explores modern printing methods, considering(S) the first book ever printed, and talks about the first editions of other ancient books.
Meanwhile, music fans in Singapore this summer will be able to enjoy a free festival when Baybeats takes place between August 28th and 30th the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre at the Concourse in Powerhouse.
