|Da:ns Festival in Singapore
Between October 23rd and November 1st the Da:ns Festival 2009 will be held at the Esplanade venue, giving attendees access to some of the world's most prominent choreographers and dance companies.
This year's event is in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Singapore Dance Theatre group. Jeffrey Tan and Kuik Swee Boon will present Sometimes I Think I Remember in tribute to the company.
Event organisers say: "Sometimes I Think I Remember traverses the grey area between reality and the surreal, toeing the line between hoping to remember and trying to forget.
"This dance explores loves lost, hopes dashed, and dreams shattered, but whispers plaintively of new beginnings that arise like the phoenix from the embers of fiery hurt and flickering pain."
