|Baybeats in Singapore offers free entertainment
Between August 28th and 30th the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre at the Concourse in Powerhouse will host the three-day alternative music event, which will feature regional and international bands.
It is a non-ticketed occasion, giving tourists the chance to get involved and enjoy a variety of bands from around the globe.
A wide range of genres are featured at the festival including post rock, punk, emo and twee pop as well as some electro.
Meanwhile, between August 27th and September 20th an exhibition of more than 100 artifacts spanning 5,000 years will open in Singapore.
The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Ancient World is at the Arts House at the Old Parliament and marks the first time the fragments of the scrolls have been displayed in Asia.
