From June 29th until July 7th the event will take place at various venues around the city, marking the first time a multi-sport event has been held in Singapore since the 193 Sea Games.

Over 1,300 athletes are expected to descend upon the city for the event, which will host competitions in beach basketball, bowling, driving, football, swimming, table tennis and volleyball, to name a few of the sports taking part.

Teo Ser Luck, the senior parliamentary secretary for community development, youth and sports, said: "It will be a good way to test our organisational and logistical capabilities."

During the event, 11 to 18-year-olds from over 44 different nationalities will also partake in a torch relay, in the style of the Olympic Games and a grand opening ceremony.
