|Art fans flock to Singapore Sculpture Carnival
Between May 28th and 31st those staying at a Singapore hotel will be able to soak up some stunning sculptural creations and get involved in making their own artistic offerings.
The event is family orientated and caters for a range of ages, in a bid to engage children with the world of sculpture.
Young attendees of the festival are encouraged to enter the creations they are inspired to produce by the event in the accompanying Children's Sculpture Exhibition, which takes place the following month in the same location.
In 2009, the event will take place in the aptly-named Sculpture Square, which is Singapore's only art space dedicated to promoting the nation's 3D art scene.
The square was founded in 1999 and event organisers say it has been a "pioneer player in the local visual arts scene", with particular reference to nurturing young talent.
