SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Start clearing your calendar and invite your friends and family because the award-winning Piñon Grill at the Millennium McCormick Ranch has created gourmet and traditional celebrations for Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Under the direction of Millennium Resort Scottsdale’s executive chef Gary Mlinarich, the restaurant generally specializes in Southwestern cuisine but offers wonderful special dishes and events for seasonal holidays. Guests have the option of dining in elegance indoors or at a table outdoors overlooking Camelback Lake. Holiday festivities include:
Easter Brunch, April 8 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Always a sell-out, the
Piñon Grill’s Easter Brunch features such favorites as Smoked Salmon, Omelet Station,
Waffle Station and carving stations serving Prime Rib, Pineapple Glazed Ham and Mustard Glazed
Breast of Turkey as well as a lavish selection of desserts. Fun children’s activities include a
Petting Zoo, Moon Jump, Face Painting, performances by a magician, an Easter Egg Hunt and much
more. The Easter Brunch is priced at $20 for children and $43 for adults, excluding tax and
gratuity. Children under six years of age eat for free.
Mother’s Day Brunch, May 13 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Mom gets treated like a Southwestern queen during the
Piñon Grill’s Mother’s Day Brunch. Among the highlights: Rock Shrimp Farfalle Salad,
Smoked Salmon Wrapped Asparagus, Whole King Salmon, Seafood Ice Tower, Herb Crusted Prime Rib, Rock
Shrimp and Bok Choy Stir Fry and Pecan Trout Fillet. The day’s activities range from boat rides to
performances by a steel drum band. The brunch is priced at $20 for children and $43 for adults with
children aged 6 and under dining for free. Tax and gratuity are not included.
Thanksgiving Day Buffet, November 22 (3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.)
The pilgrims would be amazed by the celebration at the
Piñon Grill. Highlights of the lavish buffet feast include Deep Fried Turkey Breast with
Giblet Gravy and Cranberry Relish, Prime Rib with Caramelized Onion Jus and Pan Seared Scottish
Salmon. For dessert, it is hard to make a choice with Pumpkin Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse Cake and
Angel Food Cake with Fresh Autumn Berries featuring prominently. The Thanksgiving Buffet is priced
at $18 for children and $42 for adults. Children under 6 years of age eat for free.
Christmas Day Dinner, December 25 (4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
The whole family will enjoy the festive Christmas feast at the
Piñon Grill. Among the menu highlights are: Leek Coriander Seared Diver Scallops with
Apple Butter Glaze; Herbed-Dijon Lamb Chops with Black Currant Demi; Herb-rubbed Prime Rib with
Five Onion Au Jus and Cranberry Horseradish; and Pistachio Encrusted Salmon with Sweet Potato-Wild
Boar Hash. The price is $18 for children, $42 for adults with children under the ages of 6 dining
for free.
New Year’s Eve Dinner, December 31, (5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.)
There is no hurry to ring in the New Year when the
Piñon Grill is offering a gala prix-fixe four-course extravaganza featuring Wild
Mushroom-stuffed Squid with Roasted Red Pepper Coulis appetizer and, for the entrée, Seafood
Paella, a saffron rice dish with shrimp, scallops, lobster, mussels, clams and fish. The New Year’s
Eve dinner is priced at $100 for two, plus tax and service.
