|New York City Waterfalls set to stun tourists
This August will see an exciting new art project put on display in New York, to the delight of
those lucky enough to be staying in a New York hotel.
The New York City Waterfalls project is an electronic artistic displays ranging between 90ft
and 120ft at various points across the city.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg said: "The Waterfalls are an unbelievable sight: four cascades
ranging in height from 90 to 120 feet rising out of New York Harbour.
"What a beautiful symbol of the energy and vitality that we are bringing back to our
waterfront in all five boroughs."
On display all day and every day until mid October, the waterfall will be operational from
7am until 10pm, giving spectators plenty of opportunity to catch a glimpse.
After dark, the displays will be romantically illuminated for the benefit of those interested
in seeing the structures by night.
Located strategically at four points across the city, tourists can see the beautiful
artificial waterfalls at the Brooklyn Bridge, Pier 35, Governors Island and the Brooklyn Piers.
