For fans of huge popstars, seeing their heroes perform is often a magical experience. However, this is of course not always possible, which is why tribute gigs can be so special.

Anyone who has always wanted to see Elton John in concert but has never had the opportunity could now have a chance to enjoy the hit-maker's extensive back catalogue thanks to a show planned for New York.

The BB King Blues Bar and Grill will be putting on a tribute to British star early next spring in honour of his 62nd birthday.

Yellow Brick Road - an Elton John Tribute will take place on March 29th and will be a concert featuring an array of John's memorable songs.

The International Elton John Fan Club has officially endorsed the event, which promises to be "presented in such a way that will have Elton John fans screaming for more".

Complete with a sound system and light show, the night will also feature a Billy Joel tribute act.

The show is due to start at 7pm and tickets are priced at $25.
