|Brooklyn Book Festival 'to be smart, hip and diverse'
But, for something a bit different from the usual sights and sounds, visitors staying in the Premier Hotel New York may be interested to know that the annual Brooklyn Book Festival is to take place over the weekend.
The event, which will kick off on September 13th in the halls and on the lawns of Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza, has been tipped to be a "smart, hip and diverse" one that is sure to appeal to book lovers of all kinds of genres and age groups.
A number of exhibitions will take place, including those organised by local bookstores, New York publishers and different literary groups.
One event that is likely to be a popular one is a workshop in which a panel of critics will discuss the works of US literary greats David Foster Wallace and John Updike, both of whom died this past year.
