The European properties are situated throughout the major business centres of the UK - including Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Newcastle - and in France and Germany where they provide easy access to the rest of the European business community.

The hotels offer standard rooms, club accommodation and suites. Many hotels offer a club lounge and a fully equipped business centre and all properties have in-room business facilities.

Meetings and events facilities at the hotels include one of London’s most high tech purpose built conference venues, the Millennium Conference Centre adjacent to the Millennium Gloucester and Millennium Bailey’s Hotels The Ballroom at the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair was the first new ballroom to be built in central London in 28 years; the Millennium Conference Centre in Effingham Park is a panoramic venue set in the rural Sussex countryside and which can accommodate up to 600 people for a banquet. The Millennium Hotel and Resort Stuttgart together with the SI-Entertainment-Centre, features two full scale musical theatres for large scale events, 17 conference and banqueting rooms and 3 other purpose built venues. A six-screen cinema, casino and 19 restaurants are also features of the complex. Throughout Europe, the Millennium Hotels and Resorts Service Delivery Guarantee, a twenty-point programme that covers every aspect of the event, ensures peace of mind for the event organiser. The new “CONNECT” standard for smaller meeting rooms is being introduced to hotels across the region.

Leisure travellers can choose to base themselves at the hotels whilst exploring the surrounding countryside, or can enjoy a city break in one Europe’s most popular cities – for example London, Glasgow or Paris. The group’s Weekend Breaks programme provides exciting leisure breaks throughout Europe with a number of special offers and tie-ups with attractions. Many of the hotels offer Le Club Health and Fitness facilities and all hotels are within easy reach of local attractions such as museums, theme parks, art galleries, shops and theatres. There is a wide range of restaurants within the European hotels, offering everything from a traditional French brasserie experience in Paris, to fine Scottish fare in Aberdeen. In London, restaurants include Brian Turner Mayfair and the unique MJU restaurant in Knightsbridge. Brian Turner Grills have opened in Slough-Windsor and Birmingham.

In 2005 the group announced plans to expand the number of properties in the UK and Ireland mainly through management agreements. A number of new management contracts have been signed with more in the pipeline. These include the Millennium Hotel Southampton Ocean Village a prestigious development and iconic building for the city which will have unique features connected with the hotel’s location within this busy Marina. The hotel is due to open in 2010. In May 2006 the company announced the signing of an agreement to manage two hotels at Chelsea Football Club, one under the Millennium brand and the other a Copthorne Hotel and in 2007 signed a contract to operate the new Copthorne Hotel at Sheffield United’s stadium.

The Millennium Hotels in North America are located in a diverse range of city centre and scenic, out of town locations. For the modern global business traveller every amenity has been provided, including separate club lounges and business centres as well as state-of-the-art in-room technology.

Leisure guests can choose from a range of differing environments - from the majesty of an Alaskan riverside to the hustle and bustle of central Manhattan. Most hotels feature health club and spa facilities.

The group prides itself on its excellent restaurants, which consistently offer a quality dining experience in superb surroundings. Award winning Millennium restaurants include a rooftop restaurant in Cincinnati, a Cognac room in LA, a New Mexican restaurant in Santa Fe, a Martini Bar in Chicago, a revolving restaurant in St Louis and The Ambassador Grill in New York to name but a few.

In Asia, superb properties stretch across the region, now including the Peoples Republic of China, Malaysia and Thailand. The hotels are managed and operated by Millennium and Copthorne International Limited, the Asian arm of the company and offer everything that a visitor could want - from the most professional business travel experience complete with serviced offices to the ultimate in luxury leisure travel at the deluxe five star Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur and the Grand Copthorne Waterfront, Singapore. The company’s first hotel in the Peoples Republic of China was opened in August 2006, – the Millennium Hongqiao Hotel Shanghai and this has now been followed by the opening of the Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen. The Grand Millennium Beijing will open in April 2008 prior to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Millennium Wuxi Hotel and Copthorne Hotel Qingdao also open in 2008 and one other Millennium Hotel is under development at Chengdu. The Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok opened in September 2007, the company’s first hotel in Thailand, followed in January 2008 by the Millennium Resort Hotel Patong, Phuket.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts maintains a strong and visible presence in the region where it manages five-star properties and resorts in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Egypt, Kuwait and Sharjah.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts is also expanding its five-star hotel portfolio in the region with the addition of its five-star “jewel," the Millennium Towers Hotel Dubai which opens in 2008 in a unique location next to the Mall of Emirates on the dynamic Sheikh Zayed Road. It will have 149 furnished suites and 203 guest rooms along with signature restaurants and meeting facilities to cater to the needs of business and leisure travellers.
