December festival

Held annually every December, the Pesta Pulau Pinang Festival is a fun filled fair and trade show that provides you with various forms of entertainment that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Put together by the Penang State Government, this vibrant event, which dates back to the 1960′s, is held at the Pesta Site in Sungai Nibong and usually takes place for a whole month before ending in the first week of January.

The festivities begin at about 6:00pm and continue till late at night and offer you a lively atmosphere in which to enjoy the many stalls, shows and activities on offer. 

Attractions at previous Pesta Pulau Pinang Festivals include outdoor concerts by both local and foreign bands, exhibitions, pet shows, beauty pageants, cultural performances, boxing, craft exhibits and rides and games such as a PlayStation 3 Tournament. Apart from indulging in some shopping, you can also sample a wide choice of cuisines at the numerous food stalls. The festival is also a great place to celebrate the New Year amidst good natured revelry.
