Penang Butterfly Farm is one of the favorites amongst the many tourist attractions in Penang, with its colourful butterflies and other insects. At this world's first ever tropical live butterfly farm of eight hectares, you can find around 4000 butterflies. 

The sanctuary which opened in 1986 is a popular tourist attraction and is open from 9:00am till 5:00pm on weekdays and till 6:00pm on weekends. A camera is a must at this Butterfly Farm in Penang, though an additional amount needs to be paid if you plan on taking photographs.
