Address Lower Saxony State Museum, Willy-Brandt-Allee 5, 30169 Hannover, Germany

Anyone looking for a cultural highlight to a stay in a Hannover hotel this year could make some time to head to one of the city's numerous museums.

One particularly fascinating exhibit is TABU?! which is on at the Lower Saxony State Museum until 7th April.

Visitors will get to discover a how different cultures from the past have evolved social and individual rituals and garnered power from religion and mysterious forces.

It costs €8.00 to enter the museum to see the exhibit, although concessions and a family ticket are available to buy as well.

Anyone who is unfamiliar with the city or staying there for the first time could choose to book a night or two at the Copthorne hotel Hannover, as it is only nine km from the museum.

The distance between the two can be covered in ten minutes with a car.
