The China Sharks look set to firmly establish their "beauty and aggressiveness" on the ice hockey rink to Shanghai.

These former Beijing-favourites relocated to the city of Shanghai earlier this year and look set to firmly establish themselves in their new home.

Charlie Faas, president of the China Sharks, suggested that there is also a chance that the ice hockey team will glean some support from westerners staying in Shanghai hotels.

He told the Shanghai Daily: "Shanghai is one of China's biggest and most Westernized cities, which is always open to new things.

"With the large number of expats, there's a strong desire for and acceptance of new cultural and sporting activities here."

The sharks currently play at the Sports Center Pavilion for Shanghai Universities and Students.

China Sharks are currently under the management of the Chinese Ice Hockey Association and are made up of players from the former Hosa and Changchun Fuoa teams that merged last year.
