Travellers staying in Beijing hotels who are planning to take in some of the city's cultural highlights during their stay could benefit from a new ticket booklet.

The city has announced it has created the booklet containing admission coupons for 115 museums across the city to give people the opportunity to learn about the city's fascinating 5,000 year history.

Costing 120 yuan (£12.38), the booklet could save people as much as 2,500 yuan if they use all of the tickets included.

It comes with the benefits of offering two free tickets and two discounted admissions to the 73 charging museums included, as well as reservation, discounts and services options for the 42 free institutions featured.

There is a wealth of cultural activities to be enjoyed in Beijing, with the 25th  International Book Fair, which is showcasing more than 200,000 new publications, proving to be a big hit for those currently staying in the city.
