News|South Africa Airways launches new Beijing/Johannesburg Direct Service
2 February 2012, Beijing – South Africa Airways celebrated the inaugural direct flight from
Johannesburg on 1 February with a Gala Dinner at Grand Millennium Beijing. This event was attended
by South Africa Public Enterprises Deputy Minister Ben Dikobe Martins and Tourism Minister Martinus
van Schalkwyk, a number of African Ambassadors including the Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary H.E. Dr. B W J Langa from South Africa and other dignitaries. South Africa Airways
is flying direct three times a week and the crew has chosen Grand Millennium Beijing as their
official hotel.
