News|Animal hotels open in BeijingThe demand for boarding houses for animals has seen a strong increase in recent times as more people decide to go on holiday and need somewhere to leave their pets, the China Daily reported. Lu Kaiwen, the manager of a pet supplies shop that also provides accommodation for animals, explained that his hotel has space for 60 dogs and is always booked up far in advance of busy seasons. "We are always busy during Spring Festival," Mr Lu said, noting the hotel is currently fully-booked because of the new year festivities. People heading to Beijing will still have a chance to see some of the new year celebrations taking place, as the festivities in the city are due to continue through to February 7th.
