Kuwait's Scientific Center is one of the city's most dazzling cultural hotspots and is located right on the coast overlooking Kuwait Bay.

The huge building, although modern, reflects Islamic art and architecture and has three separate attractions housed within - making it the ideal place to spend a day out.

As the exhibits are housed indoors, during the summer months the Scientific Center is a haven for travellers.

It houses an Aquarium, Discovery Place and an IMAX cinema.

The aquarium showcases the unique waterborne ecosystems found in and around Oman, a country which is mostly desert but has a stunning and long coastline.

Discovery Place, meanwhile, has a number of scientific education exhibits that promote learning and interaction. It is great fun for all the family.

Once you have taken in the undersea world of Kuwait Bay and some cutting-edge scientific developments, it may be time to relax and enjoy a film at the incredible IMAX cinema.

The cinema specialises in stunning 3D films - including some fascinating documentaries that immerse you in a variety of different natural environments.

The Scientific Center is less than an hour's drive from the Copthorne Al Jahra Kuwait and there is plenty of parking at the venue itself.
