Lovers of shopping may wish to make a reservation at a Sharjah hotel to coincide with the Ramadan Fair this September.

Taking place until the 21st of the month at the Expo Centre, the festival will give visitors the opportunity to purchase goods ranging from perfumes, gift items and shoes to electronics, food, furniture, toys and things to "spruce up Eid Al Fitr festivities".

According to the event's official website, the fair will be a "retail bonanza" and there will be plenty going on to entertain families.

Stilt walkers, sky dancers and jugglers will be performing and there will also be an amusement park, face painting, a magic show and balloon modeling.

Holidaymakers checking in to the Millennium Hotel Sharjah may also find there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in the emirate.

According to the tourist board, the destination is perfect for scuba diving, hiking and desert driving, or relaxing on the beach or in one of the health clubs or spas for the less adventurous.
